Santa Izabel do Pará is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Pará, located in the Northern Region of Brazil, It belongs to the Metropolitan Region of Belém, distant 36 km from this capital. It has a territorial area of 717.6 Km2 Its estimated population in 2017 was 68,836 inhabitants, according to IBGE estimates. The present proposition has the objective of Requalifying an Area for the Installation of an Urban Forest Park, the object is of utmost importance for the municipality, considering that urban parks are green areas that can bring quality of life to the population. They provide contact with nature and their structures and environmental quality, when appropriate and attractive, are crucial for physical activity and leisure. These activities bring different psychological, social, and physical benefits to the health of individuals, such as, for example, reducing sedentariness and easing the stress of everyday urban life. Thus, the correct planning and conservation of public parks is a significant strategy for an effective policy of urban design and public health. The objective of this article, through a non-systematic review, was to identify the social and environmental factors of parks that make them more attractive for physical activity. It was found that the beauty of the landscape and the proximity of a park to where users live are the main factors that encourage frequent use for physical activity and leisure. Therefore, the conclusion of this agreement is of utmost importance, as it will contribute to reduce the difficulties found there, improving the view of the city’s entrance.
